Tequila Amigos

Tequila Amigos are a very unique band. Although the band's instrumentation and sound is very traditional (using the 'Mariachi style' duo trumpets, acoustic guitars and marimba), they specializes in playing a more wider and varied range of popular Latin style dance music to cater for all musical tastes.

The band members are multi-instrumental and very versatile. All music played is exclusively arranged for their particular 'line-up', allowing for instrument changes and performance interest as the show progresses - the main comment the band get from their audiences is that "they sound like eight musicians instead of three!"

Tequila Amigos have performed nationwide in a variety of venues from large to small, these include - festivals, weddings, birthdays, corporate events, functions, product launches, holiday camps, theme nights, cocktail parties, garden parties (where they roam around playing tunes such as ‘Tequila’ and ‘Mexican Hat Dance’ etc…, clubs to full blown party events..

Tequila Amigos normally perform two, three quarter of an hour sets. The first ‘set’ will be more Mexican / Spanish in style and the second ‘set’ will have more contemporary Latin numbers. Each piece is essentially a medley (with acoustic bass and percussion backing tracks) of up to four songs allowing for tempo and mood changes. Whatever they play, they always have the audience up and dancing.
